As Black and White Group of Companies, in line with our corporate policies, we have been working determinedly to continuously develop and improve our practices in these areas, adopting the principles set forth by the United Nations Global Compact in the fields of environment, labor standards and human rights since our establishment.

History
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, Alper Demir (Civil Engineer), was born in Ankara as the son of a lawyer father who is a criminal law specialist and an English and mathematics teacher mother. He completed his primary, secondary, high school and university education in Ankara. Alper Demir started his business life by entering trade while he was a university student. Between 2004 and 2007, he also gained experience in marketing with a real estate investment consultancy company with three branches in Ankara. During this period, he mediated in the marketing and sales of more than 2000 residential and commercial properties in more than 30 projects, primarily Dikmen Valley Residences. After graduating from university, he entered the construction sector, which is his profession. With the construction company he founded in 2007, he carried out contracting works for nearly 100 public institutions and organizations, primarily the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of National Education and Ziraat Bank. Between 2019 and 2021, he built the Italian and Australian embassies in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan, the Kabul International Airport and the NATO Kandahar Air Base. Since 2021, it has been constructing residential and commercial buildings in Alanya, both on its own land and on lands purchased in return for flats.
Black and White Group started its operations in 2004 and continues to be present in eight main sectors today. It offers interdisciplinary work and service with the business lines it has incorporated. Black and White Group and its project development and marketing, construction, engineering and architecture, building inspection, laboratory, furniture, media, consultancy companies are on their way to gaining a permanent place in many sectors.

Today, the world is faced with various challenges; economic recovery after the pandemic, geopolitical uncertainties and energy crises encourage us to develop innovative strategies. However, we aim to overcome the obstacles we face by focusing on innovation and collaborations in this process, not forgetting that every challenge holds an opportunity. Turkey's dynamic and young population constitutes our greatest advantage in this transformation.
In order to strengthen Turkey's innovation ecosystem and gain more space in the international market, we need to accelerate our R&D investments. This will be a critical step not only for our company's future but also for our country's future.
The world is rapidly becoming digital and this transformation is radically changing the way we do business. We are working to adopt innovative technologies and optimize our business processes by taking our place in Turkey's digital transformation journey. Our goal is to increase our competitive power in both national and international arenas and to achieve sustainable growth. I believe that we need to act together to open up to new markets and have a greater say in our current markets. Such collaborations are vital to ensure the sustainability of our economic growth.
The construction sector has been undergoing a rapid transformation in recent years. Digital transformation has become one of the biggest factors in the sector, and sustainability is at the center of the agenda; green building certificates and energy efficiency standards have begun to determine the preferences of investors and consumers. However, challenges such as fluctuations in material prices, supply chain problems and labor shortages threaten the stability of the sector. The future will be shaped by overcoming these challenges with innovative approaches and increasing sustainable projects.
We produce goods and services with our companies operating in various fields and a large staff of employees. Our priorities include making strategic plans to ensure efficient use of resources, creating healthy employment conditions that will increase employee satisfaction and ensuring balanced cash flow with effective financial management.
In line with our sustainable growth targets, our aim is to increase our sales by increasing our production capacity and to develop strategies that will increase our brand awareness in the international arena. I have full confidence that we will continue our existence as a brand that creates value for society and the world by managing our investments in the various fields we operate within the framework of this vision.

Siyah Beyaz Group started its adventure with Siyah Beyaz Project Architecture Engineering Construction company, which was established in 2004 as the main activity area of construction, and it is a group that has grown and developed with the investments it has made with the companies it has established in different sectors, prioritizing efficiency and quality in the following years.
Black and White Group was established in 2004 and under the management of its founder Alper Demir, it continues its domestic and international activities uninterruptedly with companies structured in many different sectors such as real estate, furniture manufacturing, radio and television, consultancy, and especially in the construction sector. Since its establishment, Black and White Group has continued its activities in the country in a manner worthy of its name, while also taking care to take part in successful projects abroad. Its primary goal is to provide employment and added value to the national economy by managing its risks well with a balanced portfolio with all its employees and partners.
In addition to its commercial activities, Siyah Beyaz develops innovative strategies for solving social problems and takes an active role in various projects in this direction. The company has adopted the corporate social responsibility awareness together with all its employees and has accepted contributing to society by exhibiting a human and environment-oriented approach as a fundamental duty.

Rules of Governance
Ethics, in its most general terms, is the set of values and principles that shape the behavior of individuals and societies. This concept includes moral responsibilities, norms such as justice, honesty and respect for rights. Business ethics are the principles that address moral issues and decisions encountered in the business world.
This Governance Rules prepared for the Black and White Group of Companies; consists of our thoughts and behaviors that form the basis of all our business relations and transactions and our established standards in these matters. These rules also explain the policies that determine the risk management, working principles, ethical behavior principles and internal controls that must be followed in all areas of activity. This document, with the Policies and Implementation Principles, constitutes the Governance Rules and is very important in terms of determining the working principles.
The Governance Rules are a guide for third parties and all employees working with the Black and White Companies Group.

Protection of Personal Data
Aim
As Siyah Beyaz Proje Architecture Engineering Construction Contracting Industry and Trade Co. Ltd.; our priority is to process personal data of employees, employee candidates, interns, intern candidates, company partners, public officials, supplier employees, supplier officials, product or service recipients, board members, visitors, subcontractor (subcontractor) officials, subcontractor (subcontractor) employees, members of the press, third parties and business partners in accordance with the relevant legislation, primarily the Constitution of the Republic of Turkey and the Personal Data Protection Law No. 66981 (“KVKK” or “Law”) and to ensure that the rights of the relevant persons whose data is processed are effectively exercised.
The protection of personal data and the protection of the fundamental rights and freedoms of real persons whose personal data is collected are the basic principles of our policy regarding the processing of personal data. Therefore, Siyah Beyaz must carry out all its activities in which personal data is processed by taking into consideration the protection of privacy, confidentiality of communication, freedom of thought and belief and the right to use effective legal remedies.
Siyah Beyaz attaches importance and sensitivity to taking all administrative and technical protection measures required by the nature of the relevant data and keeping the measures taken up-to-date, in accordance with the legislation and current technology for the protection of personal data. Siyah Beyaz Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy (“Policy”) explains the methods to be followed for the processing (for example, storage, transfer and deletion or anonymization) of personal data collected during the Company’s activities within the framework of the principles referred to in KVKK.
Scope
This Policy applies to all personal data of employees, candidate employees, interns, candidate interns, company partners, public officials, supplier employees, supplier officials, product or service recipients, board members, visitors, subcontractor (subcontractor) officials, subcontractor (subcontractor) employees, members of the press, third parties and business partners who are subject to data processing activities by Siyah Beyaz.
This Policy is applied to all processing activities related to personal data within Siyah Beyaz and has been prepared and considered by taking into consideration the KVKK and other legislation on personal data and international standards in this field.
Information Security Policy
In line with the Black and White Companies Group Information Security Management System Standard;
- Ensuring that employees, suppliers and customers have secure access to information assets,
- To protect the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of information,
- Assess and manage risks to information assets of employees, suppliers and customers,
- To protect the reliability and brand image of the community,
- To apply necessary sanctions in case of information security breach,
- To fulfill the obligations arising from the national and international regulations, relevant legislation and standard requirements to which it is subject,
- To ensure information security requirements arising from corporate responsibilities towards internal and external stakeholders,
- To reduce the impact of information security threats on business/service continuity and to ensure business continuity and sustainability,
- To provide training to develop competencies in order to increase information security awareness,

Business Continuity Policy
Siyah Beyaz Group of Companies operates within the scope of the application principles and legal and regulatory obligations specified in the ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management Standard. The main purpose of the Business Continuity Management Policy is to implement the business continuity plan at the right time and without errors in order to make the critical processes and assets identified through business impact analysis functional within the predetermined minimum periods in case of any interruption.
In this regard, we undertake the following key elements:
- To establish a planned and effective business continuity management system, to operate this system, to review and maintain it with a continuous improvement approach,
- To ensure the continuity of the technological infrastructure of our subsidiaries,
- Adopting and implementing a proactive risk analysis-based thinking approach within the organization,
- To meet the regulatory requirements to ensure business continuity by following the country's legislation and national and international standards,
- To organize planned training and drills for effective intervention before and during unexpected situations,
- Creating business impact analyses to identify and correctly manage current and future potential threats, thus turning the risks of identified threats into opportunities or minimizing their negative effects,
- In emergency situations, to assess the extent of possible losses in the fastest and most accurate way and to take the necessary actions quickly,
- Managing the internal and external communication system within the scope of the business continuity system and ensuring its up-to-dateness,
- To supply the internal and external resources needed for the implementation of the plan and to ensure its up-to-dateness and continuity.
These elements form the basis of our business continuity policy.
